Lunch Count- Make a box and copy the slip enough for the rest of the year, put a pencil in the box and choose a kid to take it who might need a break.
Binders- Get enough for all the students. Get dividers to use for the binders
Headphones- order the bulk sets from Amazon @.66 each.
Snacks- School snacks on MWF- kids can only eat school snacks on those days they can purchase eat own snack with DOJO points. Snack on Tues and Thursday from home
Field Trips- Muse, McClung, Wesley Woods, Sleep-In, Poetry Night
Line- Wait a few days to number the students, put them in line order for optimum behavior and then number them.
Seating- Groups of 3/4- Label A/B- each table has a color red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple (mark with tape)

Supplies: Each group has hand sanitizer, kleenex, dry erase boards, dry erase markers, pencils, dry erase erasers, highlighters, label them with table color
After School: Recommend everyone for tutoring who isn't proficient.
BookShelves: organize by subject content
Announcements: Have an announcement for word of the week. Each day use the word of the week in a different sentence. Choose an excellent speaker for this part of the announcements. Growth mindset quote- Sperlich
Donors Choose- Get media releases immediately. Offer prizes for kids who bring media releases.
Dojo- Set up Dojo as soon as your class is set up. Make sure parents are enrolled. Continue sending invites to parents. Offer prize for kids whose parents sign up.
Proximity Pass- Buy heavy duty lanyard that protects the pass, label it clearly with my room number and name.
Student Desks- Math books, science books, dry erase board, "go" folder
Morning Meetings- Monday- Morals/Message, Tuesday Try something new, Wednesday- We are family (game), Thursday, silent reading, Friday-clean desk
Unpacking
You will need more shelves and containers. As you unpack boxes, keep this in mind, Where are you going to put school supplies? Where are you going to put books? Where are you going to keep manipulatives? Do you have a desk? Where will that be?
